Elisa D’Amico

Elisa D'Amico is a freelance dancer and maker working for independent choreographers, companies, visual artists and art institutions. 

She holds a BA at ArtEZ Institute of the Arts (Arnhem, NL) where she performed works by, amongst others, Angelin Prejlocaj, Julian Barnett, Amos Ben Tal, Joeri Dubbe, Noa Shadur. After completing her internship with the dance company De Stilte (Breda, NL), she graduated as Dancer / Maker with a Minor in Maker - two years artistic research program.

She has been performing internationally in many festivals and venues, working with Annika Pannitto (IT/NL/ES), Pablo Bronstein (AR/ENG),  Stefanie Nelson Dancegroup (US), Chrysanthi Badeka (GR), Aline Nari/ALDES (IT), Roberto Castello/ALDES (IT), Erika Di Crescenzo (IT), Lucia Guarino/NEXUS (IT), Donatella Morrone/NEXUS (IT),  Camilla Monga (IT), S'odinonsuonare (IT), Il Cantiere/Sara Marasso (IT), Anna Marocco (IT), Marina Donatone (IT) while developing her personal creations. 

Her work 'Virgolette', created together with Francesco Dalmasso, won Permutazioni 2018, choreographic coworking curated by Zerogrammi/Casa Luft and Piemonte dal Vivo. 

In collaboration with Francesco Dalmasso e Alessio Mazzaro she developed the work // Couchscore - a distance investigation on writing and transmitting scores, presented at Arnolfini (UK) and selected project for the second and third edition of Workspace Ricerca X_Research&Dramaturgy (IT).  

She has been one of the five selected makes for the collective creation at BIDE 2016 (La Caldera, El Grec Festival - Barcelona, ES). 

She attended the Biennale College Danza in Venice (IT), taking part in the creations by Michele Di Stefano-MK (2014) and Laurent Chetouane (2015). 

Since 2013 she works as Development Associate for the summer intensive Dance Italia (IT/NY), and since 2017 she is one of the curators of 'shared training torino', network of professional dancers based in and around Turin (IT).
